Cluster beans curry in yoghurt gravy(gavarfaly ki sabji)

As a kid I was not fond of this super healthy cluster beans. But this one is my husband’s favourite,so whenever I feel like cheer him up. It helps me a lot. And after cooking this so many times now I too started loving it. But I enjoy the spicy version. Goes well with simple steamed rice or paratha.

  1. Wash them properly and cut into pieces.
    Ingredients :- 250gm cluster beans, 2 to 3 table spoon yogurt,turmeric -1 tea spoon, coriander powder-2 tea spoon, cumin powder -1 tea spoon, garam masala 1 tea spoon, sugar 1/2 tea spoon, kashmiri chilli powder -1 table spoon, red chilli powder 1 tea spoon, salt as per your taste. Mustard seeds and cumin for tadka. Oil. 2 chopped onions, 1 table spoon ginger garlic paste.
    Method:- first mix all spices with yoghurt and keep aside. Blanch cluster beans for 2 to 3 minutes. (boil them in water for 2 to 3 minutes).
    Heat pan and pour oil . Crackle some mustard and cumin seeds. Put chopped onions and saute till golden brown. Then add ginger garlic paste and again saute for 3 to 4 minutes. Then add yoghurt and spices mixture to it. Stir it on low flame. Put the lid on and let it cook on low flame. Stir occasionally. When the mixture starts releasing oil then add blanched beans. Sugar and salt. Cook on low flame. For 5 minutes. Then add some water. When oil starts releasing add garam masala. And switch the flame off. Your curry is ready.
